Chrissie is one of my favorite style bloggers. Even though I don't read her articles and merely look at the images (she writes in High german) I love the mode she puts outfits together and creates the almost interesting silhouettes. Allow'due south find out more virtually her.

Sure 🙂 – My Name is Chrissie and I alive with my homo and four chinchillas in a house in the center of Federal republic of germany. I'm working in an advertising agency and the biggest part of my task is the graphic design.

I'thousand absolutely in love with any dog I encounter and I'm totally obsessed with way and beauty 🙂 – my best favorite country is Ireland and I love shopping in Dublin.

My age is no trouble for me (just sometimes… when I first noted I need reading glasses for instance :D) In November I will be 42 years one-time.

Can you tell us a chip more than nearly your blog Die Edelfabrik and why yous created it?

I started my weblog in 2011. The principal reason was, that I could not find many blogs past 35+ women in Germany. Then I thought ok, let'south start one myself and and we'll come across what happens.

Now, 4 years later, my blog is a big role of me and I love my hobby. The blog is my baby 😉

How would you describe your fashion?

That'due south not so easy, because I recollect my manner is a "no-manner". On one solar day I wear a pencil-skirt with a blouse and wait like Mrs. Moneypenny in an old James Bond Movie and on the other day I wear leather jogging pants in combination with a destroyed shirt. Both styles are mine. I am not "the sporty woman" or the "classy woman" – I'g Chrissie 🙂 Practise you know the song "I'm every woman… it'southward all in me!" Maybe those concluding words describe my way.

What would y'all consider the most important components of your style?

It is all about the mix I think. But ane component that I use very oft in my looks is the layering.I dearest mixing dissimilar fabrics and patterns.

Where practice you live and how does that influence your mode?

I live in a small village in Hessen, which does not influences my style in any way :). I'one thousand quite certain that the people in my village practise not corroborate or could non imagine wearing the kind of clothes or shoes I wear. But this is not important for me, because almost times the people in my surroundings will annotate on my style with a smile.

Practise you feel you have a signature style?

Permit me say it brusk and simple: No 🙂

I have often read that it is important to have one (like Anna Wintur or Catherine Roitfeld) or that it is important to take the "Parisian look". However, I don't believe that a signature manner is essential for me. That is an advantage of existence 40+: you lot don't accept to mind to what other people say.

What inspires your outfit choices the most?

So  many different things. Most of all: other blogs (it makes absolutely no departure to me if the blogger is 20-something or 50-something – inspiration is ageless). I also spend a lot of money on fashion magazines similar Instyle, Faddy and others.

Exercise you take things like colour profiling or torso blazon into account when you lot dress?

No, sometimes maybe I should do 😀 but I promise I have a good instinct for the things I can article of clothing and for which I can not. But my motto is ever: Hey, let's try – mayhap it works.

Has your style changed at all after turning 40?

Not subsequently turning forty but certainly subsequently I started blogging. I've get more courageous in the things I combine and vesture.

Too, the opinion from other people is less important to me now. (My female parent is always shaking her head whenever she sees me :D)

Do you believe in dressing 'historic period appropriately' and what does it mean to you lot?

Nothing! I believe in dressing with actuality in a manner that makes me experience comfortable and reflects my mood.

BUT! I too experience y'all should not apparel to await younger. That is a bad reason for an outfit. It would only feel similar a masquerade.

Would you say that at this stage of your life y'all are now more, or less interested in manner, fashion and the way you wait?

Definitely more than interested! Although my blog may have something to practice with that.

Why is the way you expect important to you lot?

First of all, my look shows my mood – and sometimes I will create a specific image. When I have a presentation at my work, for example, I will take that into consideration when I wearing apparel. However, in my leisure time I will habiliment what I like.

Practise you follow trends? And if yes, which trends excite you at the moment?

Aye, if I like a trend and I retrieve information technology suits me, I follow them. I remember that ten years ago "Culottes" were a large trend. Now that they are in fashion again,  I vesture my old culottes enthusiastically. I currently also beloved knit-dresses in every variation and oversized sweaters.

Practice you lot take any fashion and way tips for women over 40?

Not specifically for adult female over 40… I think my tips are important for every woman no matter how old.

• Clothing what you honey.
• Wear looks which brand you lot feel comfortable.
• Don't wearable things just because they are trendy.
• Be a piddling bit more brave sometimes!
